Bringing a Group to RIO CALIENTE

Rio Caliente offers a conducive environment for groups of friends, students or colleagues to gather in order to concentrate on goals, fulfill study requirements, or invigorate relationships. Only one group at a time may stay with us so you can be assured of the attention and space your group requires. The minimum stay for groups is five days. Small Groups consist of 5-10 people in addition to the leader (total: 6 -11 people). We assign rooms as a block to the leader who is responsible for their allotment. Once you have your group together, the leader should contact our reservations office and make the group reservation. The leader receives a 10% commission for each group member. Large Groups consist of 11-30 people. As with the small group, rooms are provided as a block and assigned by the leader, who should contact our reservations office and make the group reservation. A 10% commission for each group member is credited to the leader. Group Facilities We have 3 locations equipped with floor mats, chairs, blackboard and television set with VCR or DVD options.

Group Accommodations and Scheduling
We accommodate groups as large as 30 in double rooms. Smaller groups will be accommodated with a mix of single or double rooms. Groups may be scheduled any time except Christmas through NewYear's. Schedule changes must be made 40 days or more before your arrival. Rio Caliente has had years of experience working with groups. The staff in our reservations office and at the spa provides invaluable assistance to group leaders in planning their group event and in making it a success.
Deposits and Cancellations
For small groups we require a $1,000 US deposit and for large groups a $3000 deposit, by personal check to Rio Caliente, at least 60 days before arrival. Cancellations 60 days or more in advance receive a 100% refund. Cancellations 40 days or more in advance receive a 90% refund. Cancellations less than 30 days in advance receive no refund.Full payment of the balance for large groups is required 40 days before arrival. Send a personal check drawn on a U.S. bank, made out to Rio Caliente. (Sorry, we are unable to accept credit cards.) When submitting your payment, include a list of your group members' rooming requirements.
